Jammu, September 20: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has complimented the voters of Jammu and Kashmir who voted in large numbers in the first phase on Wednesday and described it as their unshakable faith in the power of vote.

where elections were once marked by fear and violence, held the first phase of the assembly polls peacefully yesterday. Voter turnout stood at an impressive 61.11%, showing the people’s strong trust in democracy, peace, and progress, fostered under the leadership of PM Shri @narendramodi Ji.”
“My congratulations to the Election Commission of India, the security forces, the local administration, and the people of J&K for making the assembly election truly a festival of democracy.”
