Jammu, April 25
: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday asked all the chief ministers of states and union territories in the country to identify Pakistanis and ensure that they exit India in soonest possible time.
He dialled all chief ministers and sanitized them about what happened in Pahalgam on April 22 when Pakistani terrorists slaughtered 26 tourists and a Kashmiri in a barbaric act of terrorism and asked them that they should identify Pakistanis in their states/ UTs and ensure that they don’t stay in the country beyond the deadline set for them quitting India , as decided by the CCS on Wednesday.

Shah asked them to inform the Centre about all the Pakistani nationals so that their visas could be cancelled. The leader also asked the chief ministers to take steps to ensure the prompt return of the people to Pakistan.

The Indian government on Wednesday announced that Pakistani nationals will not be permitted to travel to India under the SAARC visa exemption scheme (SVES), and any Pakistani national currently in India under the SVES visa has 48 hours to leave India.
