Srinagar , April 8: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to give a new direction on the security measures to be taken to ensure perfect peace , dealing with both the internal and external factors . He will be sharing his perception and direction with the security establishment of Jammu and Kashmir at a meeting in Raj Bhavan , Srinagar, on Tuesday afternoon at 1 .
It is here where Home Minister will outline the ways to accomplish mission Kashmir – that is perfect peace where the zero tolerance of terrorism results in zero-terrorism . Unless or until terrorism is not rooted out from the soil of Jammu and Kashmir , the perfect peace will face hurdles. All these roadblocks to peace in its purest form will have to be removed.
Peace is imperative not just for the sake of reversing the horror-filled picture of Kashmir of the past, but it is necessary to build a new future in which J&K is integrated with the rest of the country in pursuance of its goal of developed nation in 2047, titled as “ Viksit Bharat.”
Amit Shah has a very realistic assessment of the situation which he shared while speaking in Raj Bhavan on Monday while interacting with the families of police martyrs that “ terrorism has been curbed not eliminated all together.” He termed it as the stage where mission has not been accomplished as yet.
Much of the security scenario is known to the Home Minister, as he has been chairing security review meetings in Delhi , in Srinagar , he will review in terms of its atmospherics . It is not just the sharing of the strategic talk at such meetings that present a picture of the situation, the air in the atmosphere give their inputs too. That is the crucial issue to be addressed in its real-time perspective .
The security agencies working on the ground have all the inputs, substantiated with statistics, to show that the situation has improved . They have won the battle of beating statistics of violence of the previous years , a major contribution in changing dynamics of the atmosphere . Their relentless efforts have lifted fear from the atmosphere , and certain things that were unthinkable years ago have become a reality of today. The dark hours have passed and a new dawn has ushered in .
Statistics are not just the compilation of the facts and figures , or as we say punching of data , there are stories behind all these numbers . It is to be seen in the light how many terrorists were killed and how the frequency and number of terror-related incidents was brought down. There is a context to it . Each terrorist neutralized in the counter-terrorism operations is not just the number of the terrorists going down , it is about the prevention of potential incidents. The real success stories emerge out of that. These bring atmospheric changes.
These changes have to be amplified by decoding and eliminating the enemies of peace . Kashmir is an example how a conflict situation is turned into search for peace that can deliver hope and promise for the future of youth .
