Union Home Ministry has sought exact details of speeches of prominent Jammu and Kashmir leaders in which they have mocked at India and its capabilities with regard to Pakistan.
The transcript of former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah’s speech at mountainous bowl township of Kishtwar and other parts of the erstwhile Doda district have been sought from the intelligence agencies . “ This is both for the purposes of analyzing the contents of the speech and deriving exact meaning out of it,” a source aid.
Farooq Abdullah, who is known for making headline grabbing statements , crossed a threshold on Friday , when he told his audience in Kishtwar that “ Pakistan occupied Kashmir is not India’s ancestral property.”
He mocked at the nation at a place where his party National Conference had suffered a crushing defeat in the 2014 Assembly elections. The party could not win even a single seat out of six in the mountainous region
There is absolutely no doubt that Farooq pointed out to the ground realities that there was no other alternative but to accept Line of Control ( LoC) as de-facto border by India and Pakistan. He has articulated this point a number of times before as well, but the way he conferred the ancestral rights to Pakistan over PoK and discarded the same with regard to India is something new.
The government of India, which had pushed Farooq Abdullah to prepare for the parliamentary elections in Srinagar, is not amused by his this statement. It has called for the recording of his speech.
