With profound sorrow, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu informs the passing away of Professor Manoj Kumar, Professor and Chairperson MBA, IIM Jammu on 21st May 2022.
Professor Manoj Kumar was a full time professor in the finance and accounting area and also the Chairperson (MBA) at IIM Jammu, an Institute of National Importance. He had a long diverse experience of more than 22 years in the areas of Academic Administration, Pedagogical Methods, Executive Training, Finance and
Accounting Research, Institution Building and Management Consulting. Besides teaching and training, he was a prolific researcher and has published papers in many reputed international journals. Prior to joining IIM Jammu, he had worked as a faculty and held key positions with organizations ranging from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Navi Mumbai, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), New Delhi, Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor B.S. Sahay, Director IIM Jammu, “I am sad to know about the sudden demise of Professor Manoj Kumar and on behalf of IIM Jammu family offer our condolences at this hour of grief. I pray to the almighty to give strength to the grieving family to bear the irreparable loss. It is big loss for the entire IIM Jammu family.”
Professor Manoj Kumar, a resident of Jammu is survived by his wife, a professor with Symbiosis Nagpur and
his two children studying in class 10th and 12th.
