India has once again reported the highest single-day spike in fresh coronavirus cases with 26,506 new cases recorded in 24 hours. India’s Covid count now stands at 7.93 lakh.

India has reported 475 deaths and the 26,506 new COVID19 cases in the last 24 hours. Total positive coronavirus cases in India now stand at 7,93,802.

India now has 2,76,685 active cases and 4,95,513 cured and discharged cases. India’s coronavirus death toll has gone up to 21,604.

Maharashtra, which is the worst-affected state in India, has recorded 2.30 lakh coronavirus cases and 9,667 deaths while Tamil Nadu, which is the second worst-affected state, has recorded 1.26 lakh Covid cases. Delhi, a Union Territory, has reported the third-highest Covid numbers in India with over 1.07 lakh coronavirus cases.

With 7.93 lakh coronavirus cases, India now ranks third in the world coronavirus charts after US and Brazil.

With over 31 lakh coronavirus cases, United States has almost double the numbers compared to Brazil, which has 17 lakh cases. India is ranked third after these two nations and above Russia in the world Covid tracker of Johns Hopkins University.

Globally, 5.54 lakh people have died so far of coronavirus. Meanwhile, US has once again seen a new rise in daily cases. On Thursday, US saw over 60,000 fresh coronavirus cases in a new daily high.
