The Indian army chief  Gen. M M Naravane   on Friday declared that  the Indian army is  ready  to deal with  any challenges along  the LAC where a stiff standoff is going on between the Indian army and the Chinese troops since May this year.

Gen. Naravane who is on a two-day visit of  Ladakh after  the recent tensions at  Pangong Tso where Indian army preempted the  Chinese designs  of transgressions and altering the LAC , said that he had visited several places after reaching Leh on Thursday .

“ I talked to officers, JCOs and took stock of preparedness”

The primary purpose of Gen. Naravane’s visit to  Ladakh was to assess and review the  “ operational preparedness” of the  Indian troops stationed in Himalayan heights  along the LAC  against the backdrop of the hostile Chinese actions , observed that the “ morale of jawans is high and they are ready to deal with all challenges.
