Jammu, April 12: In a major success for the security forces, three terrorists, including a top commander of the proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), were killed in an encounter in the Naidgam area of Chatroo, Kishtwar district.

The slain commander has been identified as Saifullah, a key figure in the JeM terror network. He was responsible for orchestrating several terror-related activities in the Chenab Valley and was considered a high-value target by the security agencies.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a joint team of the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation in the dense forest area of Naidgam on 9th of April .
