Medium and small traders in Jammu while reacting to demonetization of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 currency bills from last mid-night say their business is suffering at present but in long run it may be beneficial for the country.
Rajan Gandotra who has car accessories shop in Gandhi Nagar says, “Our business is almost nil today and I fear it will be so for days to come. but in long term it may benefit us”
Pawan Gupta, owns a Karyana store in Jammu. His sharp reaction to the demonetization is , “This step is big loss to small business community. It is for the first time that I sent back the customers as they did not have small denomination notes. I dont think this step will help in tapping black money”
Ajay Kapoor of Sharekhan equity sale and purchase business said, “This step will impact the business, it can come to halt for sometime but overall this is a revolutionary step.”
