According to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Traffic, J&K, with a view to facilitative passengers, essential supplies, and transportation of fruits, both tubes of the Jawahar tunnel shall remain open from Oct 13, 2016 till further orders.
Zonal IGP’s of Kashmir and Jammu have been asked to direct SSPs/SPs concerned to make all the requisite police arrangements for safe passage of traffic in their respective jurisdictions, besides providing necessary police assistance to Traffic Police personnel for strict implementation of the above schedule.
People intending to travel on the National Highway have been advised to contact the Traffic Control Rooms at TCU Ramban on 9419993745, TCU Jammu on 0194-2459048, 9419147732and TCU Srinagar on 2450022, 2485396 to get updates about the road condition.
