The JK Government has appointed Zubair Iqbal, former Senior Vice President of HDFC bank as Chief Financial Consultant in the finance department for a period of one year. Earlier, the Government had withdrawn him as Director from the Board of Directors of J&K Bank. He was designated as Managing Director of the J&K Bank but his appointment was not approved by the Reserve Bank of India.
