Jammu, April 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced the results for the Class 12 annual examinations for the 2025 session. Of the 1,03,308 students who appeared, 77,311 have passed, taking the overall pass percentage to 74.83% — a modest rise of approximately 1.5% compared to last year.

Girls continued to outperform boys. Out of 51,591 female candidates, 40,097 cleared the exam, achieving a pass rate of 77.72%. In contrast, 37,214 of the 51,717 boys passed, reflecting a pass percentage of 71.95%.

The top scorers from various streams include:

Riza Javed from the Arts stream, who secured the highest marks overall with 496 out of 500 (99.2%).

Anchal Parihar led the Science stream with 495 marks (99%).

Shivra Atahullah topped the Home Science stream with a score of 485 (97%).

In terms of academic distinction, 30,622 students scored 75% and above, earning distinction. Additionally, 36,311 students achieved first division (60% and above), while 10,304 passed in the second division (48% and above).

As per official data, 25,027 students will have to reappear in one or more subjects, and 970 students have been declared as failed. The board conducted examinations at 989 centers from February 15 to March 24. Impressively, the entire evaluation and result declaration process was completed within 36 days.
