Kishtwar police has worked out a sensational theft case in the town and has arrested three persons after recovering the stolen goods worth lakhs on their disclosure.

On 26th January one Liaqet Ali son of Nasrulla Din of Poonch, a site engineer of Airtel Telecom reported in police station Kishtwar that some unknown persons have stolen some items of fibre network cabling project from the work site near Kuleed Chowk. The police in this connection registered a case FIR No. 19/2018 u/s 379/RPC in police station Kishtwar and started investigations.

On the directions of SSP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary, a police party headed by SHO police station Kishtwar Inspector Sameer Jeelani raided various suspected places in order to trace out the burglars.

After Strenuous efforts police finally worked out the case and recovered the stolen materials from the possession of Abdul Rashid Butt son of  Ghulam Qadir, Amit Sharma and Saqib Shabir residents of Sangrambata Kishtwar. The police has taken the trio into custody and further investigation is going on. The stolen goods recovered by police include-           Duct pipe         01roll of 500 meters, DWC pipes      10, Coplur and Plugs 50 numbers, simple plugs 50 and modified duct pipes 30.

The police is questioning these accused further to ascertain their involvement  in other theft cases.
