In view of Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha’s recent visit to Main Ranbir Canal, Commissioner Secretary, Jal Shakti Department M Raju today inspected the ongoing desilting works at the canal and assessed the ground situation there.
The Commissioner Secretary was accompanied by Chief Engineer Jal Shakti (I&FC) Jammu, Superintending Engineer Jal Shakti Department, Jammu and Executive Engineer I&FC, Jammu.
During the visit, the Commissioner Secretary directed the concerned officials to increase the pace of work and take all requisite measures for completion of cleaning process in time.
He stressed on them to complete the desilting works of Ranbir Canal and other distributaries before Baisakhi so that the farmers could be benefited on time.
