Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday forwarded the resignation of two BJP ministers Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga to Governor N N Vohra for acceptance.
The Governor , who is busy with President Ram Kovind’s visit on Wednesday , is likely to accept the resignations by this evening.
The two ministers who had addressed the agitators in Kathua district on March 1 and promised that they would take up the matter with Chief Minister for handing over the case to CB, were sacked by their own party high command for the “ indiscretion.” , despite the fact that they were sent to Kathua to “ defuse” the explosive situation .
The agitators were demanding CBI inquiry for they alleged that the state police and crime branch were “ terrorizing” Hindus and falsely implicating at the behest of the communal forces in the Kashmir-centric government.
It was wrongly reported yesterday that Chief Minister had sent the ministers’ resignation to the Governor.
