PDP patron and one of the founders of the party in 1999 has quit the party apparently in protest against the irregularities in the seat distribution among the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration ( PAGD) , according to the informed sources.
His resignation from the party was confirmed by one of the office-bearers of the party , saying that the real reasons for his quitting the party would be made public at a press conference, the schedule of which is being finalised.
Beg’s differences with the party president Mehbooba Mufti had started long ago, which got manifested on several occasions . These differences have now come into open.
Meanwhile Mehbooba in tweet has said :
Party sources said that they were engaged in tough negotiations with its rival National Conference in working out arrangement of seat sharing for the ongoing District Development Council polls .
