Jammu, December 11: The two day national dental symposium organised by Indian Dental Association (IDA), Jammu branch concluded today.

During the morning session, Dr.Rohit Punga, oral and maxillofacial surgeon, director Zahnärzte- aesthetic facial surgery clinic and visiting consultant Artemis hospital, Gurgaon was the resource person on the occasion. He interacted with the participating doctors on the important topics like management of medical emergencies in dental practice, minor oral surgery and Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.

Dr.Punga who is well experienced in management of TMJ diseases including open joint surgeries has shown his keenness for opening an exclusive TM Joint centre at Jammu to serve the people of J&K.

Dr.N.K.Aggarwal during his presentation in the evening session.Dr.Aggarwal’s lecture covered all the aspects of basic and advanced implantology. He is credited with more than 4000 implants placement and his expertise include sinus lift, block grafting, ridge split and other advance surgeries involved during implant placement procedure.

IDA Jammu has organised more than five lectures and symposium as well as 28 dental checkup and awareness camps this year at University of Jammu, govt.schools, for rag picker children and at orphanage.
