DC Jammu, Zorawar Singh pay Tribute to CRPF Soldiers

Jammu, February 25:

Neha Lahotra, a renowned theatre artist once again made her audience wiping their tears during her solo play ‘Pulwama’, which was staged at KL Saigal Hall of Abhinav Theatre on Monday to pay tribute to martyred CRPF soldiers, under the banner of Neha’s Art Plaza.

Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar was the Chief Guest and Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman Team Jammu was the Guest of Honour during the function.

‘PULWAMA’ – a play written and directed by Neha Lahotra, a junior fellow member of Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) was a tribute to all soldiers who laid down their lives in Pulwama attack on February 14.

The solo performance done by Neha Lahotra started with a newly married wife of a CRPF soldier, who was one among the 45 soldiers martyred during the attack. The story roams around the planning of a wife for her husband on her first Valentine’s day, which ended with the news of soldier’s death.

“The attack of soldiers broke me into pieces, when I saw the wives, mothers and sisters of the soldiers wailing on television. I wanted to pay my tribute to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for us and as a theatre artist, I have done it with a play on it,” said Neha Lahotra.

The play was highly appreciated by the audience, who were virtually in tears during the performance.

DC Jammu alongwith Zorawar Singh also paid floral tribute on the picture of CRPF soldiers.

DC Jammu Ramesh Kumar while appreciating the effort of Neha Lahotra said, “The entire country condemned the attack and the way Neha has done it, is highly appreciable. Entire country stands with the soldiers and we salute to them, who laid down their lives at Pulwama and even during other encounters or borders firings.”

Team Jammu chairman, Zorawar Singh, while paying tribute to the soldiers said, “The entire nation stands united with the security forces and a befitting reply should be given to all those who are encouraging terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Sahil Sharma has managed the audio, Aryan Tander was managing the programme, Vikran Mehta has given the music, while Mohit Sharma has made the stage.
