Srinagar, November 13 A high level team of Niti Aayog , led by its Deputy Chairman Suman Bery is arriving in Srinagar tomorrow on a three-day visit of Jammu and Kashmir to review developments in various sectors , agriculture, industry and tourism specifically .
During the visit , the Niti Aayog team will hold meetings with the senior officers of the UT government of Jammu and Kashmir to find out how much progress has been made in various sectors , especially in the agriculture, tourism and industry , with a special focus on the new plans which would help the UT and its people.
This year, the tourism sector has shown extraordinary development with more than 16 million tourists visiting the UT, and there are round the year-bookings for the next year. All hotels , guest houses and houseboats have been booked in advance .
In Agriculture sector , there has been a tremendous boost in the produce. The saffron farmers are particularly very happy as saffron has registered record production . This has also boosted morale of farmers , as they have been given special attention and facilities by the government . The Agriculture in J&K has vast potential and that can be exploited to the hilt .
As far as the industrial sector is concerned, the Central government is keen on industrialization in J&K , so that development and employment can be given new impetus.
