Jammu, May 23:

The Government has not been able to take any decision on holding of CBSE class examinations despite the widespread consultations with the state governments amidst the severe second wave of the Corona virus in 2021.
“States have been asked to send detailed suggestions on pending Class 12 board exams by May 25,” Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal tweeted.
He also said : “ We’ll be able to arrive at an informed, collaborative decision regarding Class 12th board exams & remove uncertainty among students and parents by informing them of our decision at the earliest. Both students’ and teachers’ safety is supremely important to us.”
It is learned that the states were opposed to holding of class 12 board exams in the near future as the pandemic spread has not reversed. The states argued that holding of these exams will put the lives of students and teachers to grave risk
