Kargil, December 11:

“No village in my constituency has left without electricity” this was stated by Advocate Haji Amir the acting chief executive councilor Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil while inaugurating  Nano Grid electricity at Stakchey brok and Fooker Bodh Kharbu of Kargil district.

He told that in view of approaching Ladakhi New Year (Losar), DC Nano Grid Technology has been used to electrify two un-electrified villages which is a gift to the villagers.

Expressing satisfaction on the electrification of all villages in his constituency, chief guest Advocate Mohammad Amir said, “We must appreciate the efforts of our leaders for their initiatives to develop far-flung areas like Stakchey Brok.”

Stakchey Brok is situated at an altitude of 14,000 feet above mean sea level. It has been electrified with three grids of 250kW, 100kW and 70kW capacity. Three grids of 70kW, one grid of 250kW and five grids of 100kW capacity have been installed in Fookar Bodh Kharboo and every household can now use have seven DC LED bulbs.

These two projects were inaugurated by acting CEC and Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Advocate Mohammad Amir who is also the councilor representing Stakchey Khangral constituency. He was accompanied by Project Director of Kargil Renewable Energy Development Agency (KREDA), Kacho Ahamd Ali Khan.

While talking to the villagers, Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan said that Chairman of J&K Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali is himself prioritizing the electrification of these villages. “The project was delayed due to the lack of response from the sponsoring company. Haji Anayat Ali is now sponsoring the electrification of these villages,” he added.

However the villagers have warmly welcomed the initiative taken by KREDA and the LAHDC Kargil for redressing their plights .which they were facing since decades.

It’s important to mention that different areas such as Lankerchey Brok, Itchu and Phugtal Gonpa have already been electrified using this technology by GHE.
