Srinagar, October 24: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi first time after assuming office last week.
It is understood that Omar discussed issue of restoration of statehood to J&K. The Omar cabinet had passed a resolution seeking restoration of statehood to J&K as per the promise of the Government of India.
PM had stated during his election rallies in J&K that the statehood will be restored to J&K as per the commitment made in the Parliament.
