Doda, March 17: An operator is missing when an excavator rolled down in river chenab at Shiva Dal pul in Prem Nagar on Pul Doda-Kishtwar stretch of national highway 244 today.
Police said that immediately after the accident a police party reached the spot and started search operations.
“So far the operator is still missing whereas the excavator could be seen flowing,” said a policeman who is at the spot.
The excavator was part of the machinery used by the contractor for widening of the road.
