On the basis of various complaints received regarding some agencies trying to encroach the land on the site for the Mini Stadium identified at Bhagwati Nagar near Fourth bridge, State President BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma assured that only stadium will be built there and encroachers would be dealt with firmly.

BJP leader along with the Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh visited the site accompanied by  the Police officials, local residents of the area and political activists as well to ensure that no sort of encroachment is practiced by any party/agency on the State land.

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said, “this is the same 45 kanals land which was identified by us during our previous visit few months back for the construction of a Mini stadium in the constituency and it will be seen that no other agency is allowed to work on the same land which was identified for our budding players from many sporting activities in the province.”

He said that from more than 5 decades, Panj Peer Dangal Committee has been in existence which has been playing a major role in organizing activities concerning Indian Wrestling at the same spot and providing improvisation for other sporting activities as well, the decision of constructing a Mini stadium was taken so that talent of Jammu could find a place to enhance its abilities.

He also stated that as per the legal requirements, the land is a property of State Government and no agency has the right to acquire or encroach it.

While dismissing all allegations of encroachment, DC Jammu Simrandeep Singh said that the land identified for the Mini stadium is a State land and any agency trying to encroach such property of State Government will be dealt as per the law and will be taken to the task.

He also stated that an amount of Rupees 4.5 crores has been sanctioned for the same by the State Government and soon the works for a fully equipped Mini Stadium will start in order to provide best possible facilities to budding players of Jammu province.

BJP VP Parmod Kapahi thanked the BJP President and DC Jammu for taking an immediate action on the grievance of the masses and stated that with the help of our MLA and present coalition Government, the works for the stadium will start soon and a vigil check by the locals will also be done in routine basis so that no other agency tries to encroach the land for their personal purposes.

SHO Raghuvir Singh Nowabad Police Station, Ayodhya Gupta, Darshan Lal, Asha Sharma, Radha Sharma, Dr Dalip singh, Santosh Sharma, Savitri, Kanta Rani, Raju, Renu, Ritu Kumari, Vijay Sharma, Kanchan Devi, Shubh Kumari, Sonu, Preeti Devi, Priya, Kamla, Sheetal, Kuldeep Sharma, Balwan Singh, Mohinder Kumar, Ankush Sharma and several others were also present on the occasion.
