Jammu, April 28 : The US State Department on Sunday urged India and Pakistan to work together to find out a “ responsible solution” to the tensions that have engulfed the two countries following a terror attack in Barisaran meadow in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025 .
The US , which was among the first to condemn the terror attack in Pahalagam’s Barisaran meadow last Tuesday in which 26 , mostly tourists from various parts of the country, were massacred by terrorists , has suggested that India and Pakistan should try to resolve the resultant tensons with mutual reflection on the issues involved.
A state department spokesperson in an e-mailed response to the British news agency Reuters said : This is an evolving situation and we are monitoring developments very closely”
“ The United States encourages all parties to work together towards a responsible resolution.”
The spokesperson reiterated US condemnation of the attack, saying Washington “stands with India,” echoing similar remarks from President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
