Jammu, May 8: After having sensed trouble because of Foreign Minister Bilawal Zardari Bhutto’s statement in Goa , India, at the conclusion of the SCO meet on May 5 when he threatened India with “ all-time unforgettable response “ for hosting G 20 meet in Srinagar , Pakistan’s foreign office has offered clarifications in a bid control the damage it had caused in the international diplomatic circles, particularly members of the G20 grouping
Pakistan , which is seen by the world as a hub of terrorism , and especially India that has been at the receiving end of Pakistan sponsored terrorism , started feeling heat over the remarks made by Bilawal Zardari Bhutto in Goa which threatened India with dire consequences if it went ahead with the G20 meet in Jammu and Kashmir, has sought to retract from the threatening tone .
Pakistan’s foreign office came out with a clarification regarding Bhutto’s remarks , threatening India on G 20 in Srinagar . saying : Any insinuation , associating Foreign Minister’s remarks with a threat of violence is not only mischievous but highly irresponsible,.” The Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Baloch sought to underplay the threat part and suggested that threat was bever made . The curious thing is that ,while spokesperson is at pains to explain that the words ( threat) were not in any way of suggestive of violence in India, or in particular in Jammu and Kashmir, for she knew that what Pakistan is known for when it talks about Jammu and Kashmir. Bhutto had threatened India about Pakistan’s response that G 20 host country, holding presidency of the grouping and it was natural to be interpreted as threat of terror violence . Mumtaz Baloch was at pains to say that the whole insinuation about the threat was irresponsible reporting.
She went on to say : “ It is an attempt to shift focus from the Foreign Minister’s key message of conflict resolution through dialogue and in accordance with international law and UN Security Council resolutions .”
