International Community cannot ignore this reality, avoid seeing Kashmir in split vision between India and Pakistan – the whole of it belongs to India alone

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while speaking in Gujarat on Tuesday , used word “ Mujahedeen” for the tribesmen , in reality, terrorists, who invaded Jammu and Kashmir soon after the Partition of the country in 1947, and ended with some of the territories of J&K’s going to Pakistan – PoK .
He made a reference to “Mujahedeen”, instead of using the straight term of terrorists which they were. .Why? He wanted to expose the deception behind it and tell the He conveyed to one and all, including the international community that, those whom Pakistan sees as “Mujahedeen”, were actually terrorists. The bigger point is that the territory under the illegal occupation of Pakistan – PoK- is in illegal control of Pakistan that it gained through an act of terror.
This message needs further amplification – that since it was Pakistan sponsored act of terror that enabled it to gain the territory. Pakistan succeeded because then Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s advice to keep the military action until the whole of the territory is brought back to the Indian map, geographically and demographically.
An act of terror that succeeded Nehru had not heeded Patel’s advice and made a compromise.
Some over-enthusiastic world leaders, in fact only one – the US President Donald Trump, who claimed that he, mediated a full and immediate ceasefire between India and Pakistan, and offered his unsolicited mediation on Kashmir, needed a reality check. And that reality check was served by Prime Minister, without naming the mediation buffs,
Are they trying to legitimize the acts of terror and the outcome thereof?
This question is now before the whole comity of nations. They should keep their hands off Kashmir; at best they can tell Pakistan that its illegal occupation of the territories of Jammu and Kashmir since -1947-48- is untenable.
The word “Mujahedeen” denotes those who fight for “jihad,” a righteous religious cause. In other words, it also means “holy warriors”. Prime Minister said that the first terror attack, in the post-independence era, was mounted by terrorists in the garb of “Mujahedeen.” It was deliberate and intentional usage of the word, to deliver a message that the terrorists continue to operate under the garb of “holy warriors,” – doing all the unholy work, killing innocents, raping women and worse.
As the speech progressed , Prime Minister was able to drive home his point terrorists were blindfolding common men in deceptions about their ill-intentions and the nomenclature . He narrated the tale of these terrorists from Partition to Pahalgam . Pakistan backed terrorists , in the cloak of “ Mujahedeen” ran over the soil of Kashmir – they ravaged the land and the natives, committing worst ever atrocities like murders, rapes and so on .
Two things come out of the 1947 tribesmen invasion, backed by Pakistani army , out to grab Jammu and Kashmir. There are still victims of that era, who fled their homes to save their lives and honour. The history is filled with the real-time stories when the young girls and ladies jumped into river Jhelum to save their honour. Pakistan has been in habit of sending terrorists , camouflaging them as “ holy warriors” , who brutalized land , men and outraged modesty of the womenfolk.
And, PoK is a thorn in India’s flesh. The Prime Minister vowed to remove that “ trouble-making thorn, once and for all.
PM Modi made another strong point , saying that the first act of terrorism was not punished fully, and the legacy continued till April 22nd in Pahalgam
A look back at the history , from 1947 to April 22, 2025 , reveals that Pakistan did not abandon its policy of not only bleeding India , but also projecting the perpetrators as holy warriors . Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, is on record to have said on April 24, 2025, that Pakistan did not condemn the Pahalgam incident because they could have been the “ freedom fighters,_ another misleading phrase that Islamabad and Rawalpindi use for the terrorists.
And what happened in Pahalgam was nothing short of what happened in 1947 , when the tribesmen , projected as “mujahedeen” hurt women . This time , the perpetrators killed their husbands , before their eyes , rendering them widows while “ Sindoor”- vermillion in the parting of their hair- was shinning bright.
PM Modi told Pakistan that it cannot hide behind cloaking terrorists as “ Mujahedeen” and committing atrocities . These attacks will be avenged , and April 22nd was avenged with the launch of Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025. He has made it clear that cover up of terrorists as “mujahedeen” will not work anymore.
