Srinagar, July 4:
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval are arriving in Srinagar late this evening and will look at the chart of the security situation and political roadmap in the aftermath of the imposition f Governor’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir.
It is rare when the Home Minister and NSA are travelling together to Kashmir at a time when the security in Kashmir has appeared as a major national concern and the sensitive border state is looking how to deal with the political crisis .
BJP had withdrawn support to the PDP led coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir on June 19th to neutralize militants, restore peace and order so that the instruments of governance could start functioning . The BJP , according to Ram Madhav , the party’s point man on Kashmir, had stated that the support was being withdrawn because it had become “ untenable for the BJP to stay in alliance ( with PDP). He had spelled out two primary reason , the hurt that was being caused to national security and integrity and also the strong dose of the discrimination that was being administered to Jammu and Ladakh regions.
Sources said that Rajnath Singh and Doval will gather all the inputs about the political roadmap and security situation before concluding their visit on Thursday.
