Parliament Monsoon Session news: A united Opposition on Tuesday decided to boycott proceedings of the Rajya House till their three demands, including revoking suspension of eight members, are met even as the government insisted on their apology. In Lok Sabha too, opposition parties, including the Congress and the TMC, boycotted the proceedings in solidarity with the eight Rajya Sabha members who were suspended for unruly behaviour. With the opposition boycotting Parliament, the eight suspended MPs ended their overnight sit-in inside the Parliament House complex and said they would take their fight against the farm bills to the street. Meanwhile, the Monsoon Session of Parliament is likely to conclude today, eight days before it is scheduled to end, amid concerns of spread of coronavirus among lawmakers.
