National General Secretary of BJP will be arriving in Srinagar on Thursday to assess his party’s preparedness for polls in Kashmir.

After the BJP has pitched for the restoration of statehood and Assembly elections , it is becoming increasingly clear that J& K will have Assembly elections soon, a party functionary told JKNEWS Today.


He said Ram Madhav will take a feedback from the party cadre whether the party should go alone into the polls or in alliance with local parties.


His visit also assumes significance as it comes within days of the joint statement of the signatories of Gupkar Declaration of August 4, 2019, in which they have vowed to fight for the reversal of August 5, 2019 decisions of revocation of Article 370 and reunion of the state that was bifurcated into two Union Territories.


Ram Madhav will also take stock of the security set up for BJP workers in the Valley.
