BJP celebrates “Vilay Diwas” across J&K with fervour

Vilay Diwas (Accession Day) of Jammu & Kashmir with the Dominion of India was celebrated with full honour and fervor across the region by Bharatiya Janata Party.

BJP programmes on the occasion across the nook and corners of the region saw the enthusiastic participation by the party activists and the locals.

BJP organized the main programme to celebrate Vilay Diwas at Maharaja Hari Singh ji Park, Jammu in the leadership of J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina.

Purnima Sharma, BJP Secretary Veenu Khanna, BJP Secretary Rekha Mahajan, BJP Treasurer Prabhat Jamwal, BJP Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi, BJP Spokesperson Rajni Sethi, BJP Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, BJP Mahila Morcha President Sanjita Dogra, BJYM President Arun Dev Jamwal, Kissan Morcha President Omi Khajuria, JMC Chairman Baldev Billawaria, JMC Councillor Sanjay Baru, Munish Khajuria, Ayodhya Gupta, Praduman Singh and others were among the prominent persons present on the occasion, while Yudhvir Sethi conducted the programme proceedings.

Ravinder Raina congratulated every Indian that we have witnessed the end of era of dejection and today, due to the bold step of Modi ji, our proud Tiranga is flying high across the length and breadth of J&K. He declared that now no other flag will be hoisted on the pious lands of Jammu & Kashmir and nobody should dare to create confusion in the minds of others especially the “Gupkar Gang” who are left with no other option than to repent for their sins they have committed so far.

Our ancestors have sacrificed themselves while being oppressed by the then Congress and NC governments and we have achieved this Day after losing numerous precious lives and we declare that we will sacrifice the last drop of blood to protect the glory of “Tiranga”, Raina said.

Ravinder Raina also warned Pakistan and China that they must surrender the illegally occupied areas of J&K that were acceded to the Dominion of India by the great Maharaja of Jammu & Kashmir, the Maharaja Hari Singh ji Bahadur and that they have committed enough atrocities on our citizens living in the parts of J&K that are in illegal control of Pakistan and China.

We pledge before His Highness, the Maharaja, that we will not rest and will not stop, till we take back our lands, Raina roared.

Dr. Nirmal Singh said that we have achieved a great feast but we need to work more aggressively now. He said that J&K has enough suffered as the result of conspiracy hatched by former PM Jawahar Lal Nehru and former CM Sheikh Abdullah who disrespected the Constitution of India by giving birth to Article 370 and now the mistake has been amended after 7 decades and all the differences have been wiped out.

Shamsher Singh Manhas stressed that our proud history must be taught and known to everybody. He lamented that under a well thought conspiracy our history, our culture, our language and our heroes were neglected with the looting of our resources and we must fight together to take all that back. He said that the great Maharaja must be feeling cherished seeing such programmes and today’s holiday through the corridors of heaven.

Jugal Kishore Sharma said that Maharaja accede the state of Jammu & Kashmir with India totally negating other options. He said that on the auspicious day of 5th August Modi ji presented perfect tribute to all the sacrifices made in the struggle. He addressed this day as special day for the union territory as Jammu and Kashmir is hoisting one and only national flag.

Sat Sharma termed 26th October as golden day in Indian history. He said that for 72 years, the attackers were glamorized and for the first time this auspicious day has been given importance. We must celebrate this day on grand level.

Kavinder Gupta said that we will not bow down and will also not leave any person engaged in anti National activities. He termed this while process a revolution and said that BJP will carry its mission forward.

Prior to the main programme a motor bike rally was organized by BJYM under leadership of its President Arun Dev which was led by BJP President Ravinder Raina. Rally started from the near Teacher Bhawan Auditorium, Gandhi Nagar and passing through main Chowks of the city culminated at Maharaja Hari Singh ji park.

Later, BJP Mahila Morcha under the leadership of Sanjita Dogra paid tributes to the Maharaja Hari Singh ji at his statue near Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Chowk. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Kavinder Gupta, Purnima Sharma, Yudhvir Sethi, Anuradha Charak, former Mos Priya Sethi and others were present.

In the evening all the rotaries of the city were decorated by party’s Morchas and simple programmes were conducted at all the prominent places across the city.

Numerous programmes were conducted at every booth, Ward and Mandal level. Earlier in the morning party leaders and activists hoisted the “Tiranga” at their roof tops.

Similar programmes were carried out in Kashmir at various places under the supervision of BJP General Secretary & Incharge Kashmir Adv. Vibodh Gupta. Main Tiranga rally was conducted at Srinagar city which witnessed the participation of thousands of enthusiasts. Sofi Yusuf, Dr. Darakshan Andrabi, Dr. Ali Mohd. Mir, GM. Mir, Altaf Thakur, Manzoor Bhat, Mohd. Ashraf Azad, MM War, Arif Raja, Aijaz Hussain, Dr. Rafi, Dr. Fareeda, Anwar Khan, Bilal parray, Mushtaq Noorabadi, Wajahat Hussain, Mohd. Sidiq Khan, Mir Zahoor and others were amongst the prominent person who participated in the rally.
