Safina Beigh , a leading political figure of Kashmir has been elected as Chairperson of DDC , Baramulla , registering a trend changing win in the Valley.
Though Safina, wife of former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beigh, had contested elections as an independent candidate but various political groups had extended support to her.
Sannaullah Parray was elected as Deputy chairperson in the district.
