Srinagar, March 24 : The picture of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai’s son Junaid Ashraf has gone viral on social media, hours after his family filed a missing report at Saddar Police Station on Saturday.
The photograph shows he has joined the militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen.

Sehrai took over the leadership of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat – the hardline pro-freedom party – last week from Syed Ali Geelani.
Junaid, a resident of Takipora, Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, presently living at Jehangir Colony in Baghat, Srinagar, is an MBA student at Kashmir University.
“Junaid’s brother Rashid Ashraf Khan filed the missing report of his brother.

Later in the day, Junaid’s photograph appeared on social media showing he has joined Hizbul Mujahideen. The photograph shows he joined the outfit on 24 March 2018 and his code name as Amaar Bhai.

SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray said that police received a missing report from the youth’s family.

Regarding the photograph wielding AK-47, the SSP said they are ascertaining the authenticity of the picture and have started investigations.
