- India launched missile strikes against terror trading and launch pads at nine places in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir, including headquarters of Lashkar-e- Toiba in Murdike and Bahawalpur, headquarters of Jaish-e- Mohammad. The Indian army while disclosing attack , said “ Justice Served” in response to Pahalgam attack of last month.
- Pakistan admitted strikes on five of its locations , alleging that eight were killed and 24 injured.
- Pakistan resorted to heavy artillery shelling on the Indian side from its side of LoC, targeting civilians. The shelling is continuing all along LoC, from Poonch , Mendhar, Bhimber Gali, Rajouri, Sunderbani, Nowshera, Akhnoor. Indian army is giving appropriate response.
- All airports in northern India- Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Amritsar, included,- have been shut. All flights have been canceled.
- Indian Air Force is on high alert all along Pakistan border
- Pakistan has called Indian strikes as an “ act of war” and vowed a response.
- The Indian attack on terror camps in Pakistan and PoK was in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22nd – 25 Hindu tourists and one local Kashmiri were killed.
- US President Donald Trump has called it a shame and hoped that it will end quickly
- Jammu and Kashmir is on high vigil.
