Two militants were killed in an early Tuesday morning encounter in Hajjin area of north Kashmir as part of the security forces’ intensified drive against terrorists in the Valley.
Two militants were killed when security forces cordoned off their hideout and challenged them to surrender, but the militants opened fire. This resulted in a gun fire, killing two of the militants.
Of late security forces in Kashmir have intensified their anti-terrorism operations that had remained suspended because of the grave law and order situation after the killing of Hizb-ul-Mujahadeen commander Burhan Wani on July 8 . The law and order situation had diverted attention of the security forces from the anti-militancy operations .
