Srinagar, November 22

Two militants were killed in an early Tuesday  morning encounter  in  Hajjin area of north Kashmir  as part of the security forces’  intensified drive against terrorists in the Valley.

Two militants were killed when security forces cordoned off their  hideout and challenged them to surrender, but the militants opened fire. This resulted in a gun fire, killing two  of the militants.

Of late security forces in Kashmir have intensified their anti-terrorism operations that had  remained suspended because of the grave law and order situation after the killing of  Hizb-ul-Mujahadeen  commander  Burhan Wani  on July 8 . The law and order situation had  diverted attention of the security forces from the  anti-militancy operations .
