The UAE on Saturday welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, according to Afra Al Hameli, Director of Strategic Communications at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).

In a post on X, Al Hameli stated that the Ministry expressed hope that the ceasefire would help enhance security and stability across South Asia.

The UAE also praised the leadership of both countries for reaching the agreement and commended the diplomatic efforts led by US President Donald Trump in facilitating the breakthrough.

The Ministry also expressed confidence that both countries would remain committed to the ceasefire, describing it as a step that could support broader regional stability.
