New Delhi, October 29:

India’s daily Covid-19 tally went up to 49,881 cases with 517 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours. The total cases crossed the eight million mark with 120,527deaths.

After recovering from the first wave of coronavirus, the world is setting to return to lockdowns as the number of global cases has crossed 44 million. Germany is looking forward to partial shutdown of bars and restaurants, France may enter into a fresh month-long lockdown.

Meanwhile, Covid-19 cases in New Delhi breached the 5,000-mark yesterday, with the national capital recording 5,673 cases in 24 hours. As per the union health ministry, the country is reporting a steady decline in active coronavirus infections but a spurt of cases is seen in Delhi, West Bengal, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

India recorded 49,881 cases on Tuesday with 517 deaths. The total cases include 610,803 active cases, 7,259,509 recoveries and 120,010 deaths.

Currently total active cases in the country constitute to 7.65%.
