An Indian Army soldier laid down his life in “unprovoked ceasefire Violation” by Pakistani troops from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector today

Giving details of the incident the PRO Defence Lt. Col. Devender Anand said ” On 21 Nov 2020, Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on the line of control (LoC) in Nowshera Sector, District Rajouri (J&K).”

Indian troops responded strongly to the fire. 

“In the incident, Hav Patil Sangram Shivaji was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries,” he said

Col Anand added, “The nation will always remain indebted to him (Hav Patil) for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty”.
