This cryptic post of Jaishankar on X, formerly Twitter after America’s top most diplomat called him , pleading for de-escalating the situation with Pakistan for “ security and stability of South Asia, on Wednesday.
The message of Jaishankar was loud and clear to the US and the rest of the international community , that India wanted all those responsible for the terror attack and , cross-border terrorism, whether it is Pakistani state or non-state actors patronized by military establishment and the political leadership, be brought to justice before it expected Delhi to de-escalate the situation.
Delhi has set its terms against the backdrop of Pakistan’s continuing unprovoked firing along the LoC and international border for the last seven days. Instead of regretting and condemning the attack and bringing terrorists , nurtured and trained by it , Pakistan has resorted to firing on the borders , escalating the situation. Irony is that it is dialing the world capitals to help it by intervening in the tense situation, while being responsible for committing the original sin of eyeing Kashmir through wars and proxy war.
