Srinagar, February 25
Militants attacked police men posted on guard duty at Charar-e-Sharif shrine in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday.
A police guard was injured. This is the first attack at the shrine after the shrine was reconstructed after it was burnt down by militants in 1995.
All the militants involved in the attack have escaped after snatching the rifle of the police guard.
Senior police officers have rushed to the spot.
