New train to holy town of Haridwar from Jammu will be flag off on Sunday, August 14, 2016 through video conferencing by Railway Minister.
Giving details, Chief PRO, Northern Railways, Neeraj Sharma informed that Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Minister for Railways, shall flag- off the second train between Jammu-Haridwar ServiceNo.14605/14606 through video-conferencing from Mumbai with a parallel ceremonial inauguration to be held at 11.45 am on Sunday at Jammu Tawi Railway station.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office, Kavindra Gupta, Speaker, J&K Assembly, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, MP Rajya Sabha shall the distinguished guests on the occasion at the ceremonial commencement of the train service from Jammu Tawi Railway station.
A long pending demand of people of Jammu has been fulfilled with this decision as earlier only one train Hemkund Express connects Jammu with Haridwar.
