Varanasi, May 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi submitted his nomination papers from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh today, aiming for a third consecutive victory in a constituency where he has previously secured wins with significant margins. 

Before formalizing his candidacy, the Prime Minister participated in a prayer ceremony at Dashwamedh Ghat, a revered site along the Ganges River. Subsequently, he embarked on a cruise to Namo Ghat and visited the Kaal Bhairav temple to pay his respects, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

With eyes set on a historic victory margin, PM Modi’s nomination comes ahead of the polling scheduled for June 1, marking the seventh and final phase of the general elections in Varanasi.

Prior to filing his nomination, PM Modi led an elaborate roadshow spanning five kilometers through Varanasi on Monday evening, drawing massive crowds of supporters and residents. 

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP state president Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh joined him, echoing chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and ‘Jai Shree Ram’ that filled the air as enthusiastic supporters lined the streets to rally behind the Prime Minister.
