Jammu, March 03: After a number of turns and twists finally Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz leader , was elected as new prime minister of Pakistan on Sunday.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif was elected the 24th prime minister of Pakistan after clinching 201 votes, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq announced, report in Pakistani media said .

Omer Ayub Khan, the PTI’s candidate for the premier, secured 92 votes.

Following the announcement of his victory, Shehbaz hugged elder brother Nawaz.
