As part of the continuing celebrations marking the 91st birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, a special screening of the animated films “Man of Peace” and “Wisdom of Happiness”, based on his life and teachings, was held at PVR Cinema in Leh. The event brought together members of the Tibetan community, dignitaries, and well wishers to honor his enduring legacy of compassion and peace.
The screening was attended by Ama Jetsun Pema, Honorable Supreme Justice Commissioner Yeshi Wangmo, Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Dolma Tsering Teykhang, Sikyong Penpa Tsering, Security Minister Kunga Tashi, Members of Parliament Choedak Gyatso and Gonpo Dhundup, Secretaries to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Chief Representative Officer (CRO) Leh Tashi Dhondup, former Chief Executive Councillor Adv. Tashi Gyalson, and several other dignitaries.

The event was organized by The Tibet Museum and inaugurated by its Director, Tenzin Topdhen. Addressing the gathering before the screening, Sikyong Penpa Tsering appreciated the filmmakers and everyone associated with the project. He said the films would play an important role in introducing the life, values, and timeless message of peace of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to younger generations and audiences across the world.
The screening served as both a tribute and an educational initiative, highlighting the Dalai Lama’s lifelong commitment to peace, compassion, and dialogue. It also reflected the Tibetan community’s efforts to preserve and share his teachings with future generations through the medium of cinema.
