Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri, had launched the observance of the “Swachhta Pakhwada” in the campus from 01 Nov. to 15 Nov. 2016. This fortnight named as “Swachhta Pakhwada” concluded successfully here today at a function organized by the University to felicitate the winners of different competitions held during this fortnight. Prof. Javed Musarrat, Vice Chancellor BGSBU was the chief guest of the occasion.
The programme was attended by all Deans, Heads of various Departments, Officers of the University, faculty members and students.
During the programme, Dean of Student welfare, Prof. Mohammed. Asger presented the detail of the activities organized by various Schools, teaching departments and hostels during the fortnight.
Later the Vice Chancellor Prof. Javed Musarrat gave away awards and certificates to the winners of various competitions held during the fortnight, in the presence of various dignitaries on the dais.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Javed Musarrat, Vice Chancellor Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University appreciated the initiative of Dean of Students and endless efforts made by all the stake holders and said that Cleanliness is next to Godliness. He further quoted that it was the dream of the father of nation Mahatma Gandhi to make our country clean and green. He stressed that cleanliness should not be restricted to any particular day, weak or fortnight but it should be a never ending process at least at individual level. The programme ended with a vote of thanks presented by Malik Mubashar Hassan.
