Jammu, November 21:

Eleven AK-47 rifles, 29 grenades and three pistols were recovered from the four terrorists killed at Ban Toll Plaza in Nagrota, near Jammu on Thursday morning. This carries a tale of many atrocities \that Pakistan has been committing on the Indian soil and and continues to attempt time and again.
.
The day it presented its so-called dossier charging India with instigating terrorism in Pakistan, things became clearer that Pakistan was preparing a ground to strike in India, and most probably in Jammu and Kashmir, in a big way to invite retaliation and then blame India for the escalation.
Luckily the terrorists and their consignment of arms and ammunition was intercepted by the vigilant cops of the Jammu and Kashmir police whose intelligence network had given them a tip off quite in advance before they could travel to their destination.

The devastation that terrorists and their masters from across the border had planned was foiled. Thus, a sense of relief should greet security forces, but this is not the time to sit and relax, because Pakistan is not going to give up its terror promotion networks.

Why Kashmir was chosen? There may be nothing uncommon in its choice of the place of terror strike since Pakistan had been sending terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir for the past over 30 years. But there was something uncommon in it.
.
First-ever District Development Council polls in Jammu and Kashmir are underway and this what Pakistan doesn’t like. The completion of the grassroots democracy which is a boon for the people in Kashmir, is Pakistan’s nightmare. The connect between the people and their elected representatives through democratic means expansion of the democratic space. This, automatically reduces space for the disruptive forces that Pakistan has been promoting for decades.

In Kashmir, a keen contest as different parties have fielded their candidates and there is cut throat competition among them, a healthy sign for democracy.

Now there is a scenario – four terrorists having 11 rifles, 29 grenades and all that what they needed to strike terror in the Valley. Obviously, there might have been others waiting for them to take the assault rifles.

In Mumbai terror attacks, there were 10 terrorists and 10 rifles, and what havoc did they wreak is fresh in minds. The 26/11 is embedded in our minds as one of the deadliest terror attacks on the Indian soil, that not only shook the nation, but also the world at the audacity of the terrorists from Pakistan. Those terrorists were trained and guided by the Lashkar-e- Toiba handlers, particularly Zaikur Rehman Lakhvi. The whole plot was conceived at LeT headquarters in Muridkey where from Hafiz ran a supposedly charitable organization Jamaat-ud- Dawa.

With 11 rifles firing bullets in a crowded place. The very thought is spine chilling.
That’s what Pakistan’s plan was. Had it succeeded, luckily it was foiled by Jammu and Kashmir police, this would have cast a shadow over the DDC polls. That is what Pakistan wanted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi rightly observed,” Neutralising of 4 terrorists belonging to Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed and the presence of large cache of weapons and explosives with them indicates that their efforts to wreak major havoc and destruction have once again been thwarted.”

His compliments to the security forces for this act of bravery have also hinted at the designs of the terrorists when he said, “our security forces have once again displayed utmost bravery and professionalism. Thanks to their alertness, they have defeated a nefarious plot to target grassroots level democratic exercises in Jammu and Kashmir.
